Macon Bacon Awarded 2025 CPL All-Star Game

The Coastal Plain League announced this morning that it has awarded the 2025 CPL All-Star Game to the Macon Bacon.

“We are extremely excited to award the CPL’s All-Star event for the 2025 season to the Macon Bacon,” said CPL Commissioner Chip Allen. “The City of Macon is rich in baseball history, especially at Historic Luther Williams Field and we know that Brandon and his staff will put on a memorable two days for everyone in attendance.”

The two-day event will be held at Historic Luther Williams Field on July 6-7, capped off by the All-Star Game on the evening of the 7th. This will be the League’s 25th All-Star Game in its history (the CPL didn’t feature an All-Star Game until 1999 and then went without it in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic). The All-Star Game highlights the best talent in the CPL, featuring 60 players representing the East and West Divisions, and has averaged 2.5 players per year that went on to become Major Leaguers. Just a sampling of former CPL All-Stars turned Major Leaguers include Ryan Zimmerman, Alec Bohm, Kevin Youkilis, Nicky Lopez, and Jake Cave.

“It is exciting to say that we are going to be hosting, for the first time ever, the All-Star Game for the Coastal Plain League,” exclaimed Macon owner Brandon Raphael. “It’s just awesome! It’s going to be a ton of fun to put on this show and we look forward to showcasing the beautiful City of Macon, Luther Williams Field, and exposing the best players in the CPL to the best fans in the CPL.”
